Anna Richardson, our 5th Special Forces Group Vice Chapter lead. She is the wife of a current Green Beret and she's also a veteran. She has worked exclusively in the field of behavioral health for the Department of Defense both as a military behavioral health specialist and as a civilian psychiatric technician. She understands the great trauma that Green Berets and their loved ones experience as a result of their service to this country. She has always adhered to strict confidentiality guidelines including where limits exist such as threat of harm to self or others. According to Anna, "The traumas of war and constant disruption of family life take a toll on the women who love and support their Green Berets." She shares she would be able to serve this population in a manner that would alleviate some of their hardship.
Anna was part of the Austin Peay State University Student Veterans Organization where she served as the treasurer and participated in numerous fundraising events from December 2010-2011. She also served as the Combined Federal Campaign key worker for the Department of Behavioral Health for 3 years while in the military.
Her experience and passion for helping makes her a strong asset for our Steel Mags. Anna considers "it a great privilege to be able to enrich and improve the lives of the quiet professionals behind the quiet professionals." moreover, she shares "What we don't realize at the start of this hectic SF life are the bonds that we will form with the other spouses."
