“Ali” Bailey, our new Steel Mags Program Manager. Ali has been working with the GBF as a consultant and volunteer since the summer of 2016. Since then, she has worked with our Programs Manager, Angie Fennen to help formalize our Steel Mags Program, stand up three additional Chapters from 5 to now 8 and help organize our first Steel Mags Summit workshop/retreat for Chapter leadership this past summer in Tampa. She brings to the GBF over 20 years of experience in non-profit organization, donor development, fundraising, grant writing, volunteer management and event coordination. Having worked as an Executive Director for other non-profits and as an Event Coordinator for municipalities we are excited to have Ali share her skills and experience in working with our Steel Mags Program to cultivate and help build our Chapters, enhance activities and events and look for opportunities to leverage resources that will benefit the GBF so that we can continue to serve more GB’s and their families. Ali is married to retired Green Beret, “OJ”. This year, they celebrate 27 years and have two daughters; Eden (20) and Olivia (16). Having retired out of 1st Group in 2009, the Bailey family has made the California Central Coast their home in Orcutt. Ali is excited to step out of the ED non-profit role to work more closely with women in our Green Beret Community, have the ability to work remotely at home and have the opportunity to travel on occasion to meet with our Steel Mags Chapters. In her leisure time, she enjoys running their dogs with her husband, spending time outdoors, working on home renovations and spending time with family.
